The commitment

Looking for a home should not be harder because of the website you are using. This site is built and maintained so that people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion settings can use every part of it.

The standard followed

The goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at level AA. That is the standard most often referenced in the United States for public websites.

What has been done

Specific measures built into the site include:

• Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on links, buttons, and form fields.
• A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
• Text and background colors are checked for contrast, and text can be resized without losing content.
• Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Forms use real labels tied to their fields, with clear required markers and status messages announced politely.
• Headings follow a logical order, with one main heading per page.
• Motion and reveal animations respect the reduce motion setting in your operating system.

Where gaps may remain

Some content, such as documents and third party tools, is not fully under this site's control. If you run into something that does not work for you, it will be fixed or the information will be provided another way.
